About The Photographer…
The love for people makes Cohan an outstanding photographer. Her gift for people and her passion to shoot is what makes Cohan’s photos special. She has the ability to make each of her subjects share their emotion in a raw, candid moment where truth is possible. They know that she is giving them a voice where no one else has. She knows and understands the importance of being seen and heard with each of her subjects and allows them to break their silence. Cohan’s pictures depict the voice and expression of those wishing to share themselves in a moment when respect and realness comes forth.
She is also an award winning photographer with international publications. Cohan has work published in numerous arenas for multiple organizations as well as Africa Geographic. Her work is also displayed throughout the Centura system in the area hospitals through out Denver. With twenty plus years of experience, Cohan has captured award winning photography in numerous countries. Cohan looks forward to displaying her work in an upcoming personal exhibit in Rome.
On Assignment…
Cohan travels to many countries shooting freelance for organizations such as NGO’s and Medical Mission Teams. Her nursing background is a great asset for her as she finds herself photographing many patients in desperate need of medical care. Many times she has had the opportunity to serve on medical teams providing care that is life changing.
The humanitarian part of her work is a large part of her skill set as well as connecting to her subjects through her lens. She loves traveling to other countries and working with organizations to capture their extraordinary work in the field. Some of the locations she has been are Peru, Panama, Rwanda, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Cohan can be reached via email for any requests for upcoming freelance assignments.

Her passion for Africa extends beyond the many borders and cultures that are available to her, with numerous still yet to be discovered.
She has also spent a vast majority of time shooting Central America with the many foundations who seek her professional expertise. Cohan has a gift for capturing the people she encounters with a story written upon their face. It is her hope to tell their story as it unfolds in front of her lens.
